Clearly, I am NOT the Problem...Probably...Maybe

I smoked what is supposed to be my last cigarette yesterday...

My kids are driving me crazy
my husband made the unfortunate mistake of giving me the solution to a chess puzzle...Now for some inexplicable reason, he has things to do away from the house today
the dogs are driving me crazy--I think that I am going to bite the one who keeps growling at everything
the cat who was crazy enough to ask for love is driving me crazy.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why no one else can see that the sky has clearly fallen...

And did I mention that right around the corner...

Damn grass. Who does it think it is anyways, all green and pretty and shit...

lol--mourning sounds so much better than psychotic meltdown.

  3. lil,
It's a good thing you are doing - it sucks - and makes everything else suck - but it is a good thing. I have a friend who used to bite his dog when it got out of control - he swore it worked. Of course - he used to do the same thing with his kids - when they bit him - he bit back - swore that worked too. I dunno - seems like the kind of thing that could go wrong - but maybe.....

Sending you a sentiment somewhere between there, there dear... and... suck it up buttercup. [What works for me depends on which way the wind is blowing.]

    1. gg,
you rock--I've never been much of a fan of sympathy. Might explain why I am so terribly bad at giving it...

We used to bite ours when they were puppies, but it does lose appeal as they get bigger. This particular dog is old and incredibly irritable--growls and barks at anything that moves (breathing does not seem to be a requirement, the wind is guilty too apparently lol).

  4. OMG, maybe some chocolate can smooth things out. I remember being quite a bitch for a while. Hope it gets better for you. Lots of luck.

    1. sunnygirl,
um yea--there's no chocolate, which I am finding to be an issue.

I prefer not to think of myself as a bitch--I'm liking the term rabid porcupine. Though if you were to ask the inhabitants of my house, they would probably say both labels should be applied at once lol.
      Thank you!

  5. That last pic is particularly brilliant :) I feel your pain over the ciggies. Have you quit or just ran out?

    1. Dee,
Um, I have zero self control, so to quit I had to run out.
He made me quit under the guise of caring for me and looking out for my health. Sadistic bastard.

I'm starting to pity the poor grass...So many women snarling at it for no good reason...

  8. I had a whole rant written here, with the word fuck in it 16 times. Until I read "rabid porcupine" and couldn't stop laughing long enough to breathe (former pack a day smoker here, currently peri-menopausal, having three periods a month). Ima go lay in this pretty patch of grass over here and pass out. See you!

    1. lm,
Rabid porcupine does seem quite fitting at this point in time lol.

Ooh, now I feel like I should quit complaining about getting my period every three weeks. Apparently it's just gearing up for the Really good times.
      Sigh. Damn body.

Enjoy the grass! Or at least, whats left of it and not covered in slobber from all the snarling...

  11. I started laughing hysterically at this...mainly because I have suggested that at certain times I have an apartment to escape to, not because I need the time away (though I most definitely do!), but because I feel sorry for those around me! lol

Good Luck quitting! It's not easy. My advice...if you manage to let it go for any length of time, DO NOT under any circumstances go back to it! It reinforces the addiction

    1. baby girl,
Unfortunately for them, I seem to be sliding past the point of feeling bad for my behavior, which is not a very good sign...
I'll attempt to hang on to my humanity lol.
