And the Cat Was Dancing in the Kitchen...

I've been awake since 2:30 AM. In my defense, I waited until 4 to get up and make coffee. I was tired, really. But I woke up to go pee (in the toilet even, tyvm) and...

Plus, the cat was dancing in the kitchen, and I have 99 legitimate things to worry about on top of a million illegitimate issues, so naturally there was no going back to sleep.
I'm sure there's something useful I should be doing, because there are never enough hours in the day, but maybe there is sometimes if you get up in the middle of the night...

I did find this:

Not exactly productive, but still kind of funny.

I should say that I'm not a mess. And if I did say it, I should totally mean it, but I wouldn't really mean it, so I would totally be lying.

I worry about leaving my mom.
I worry about sending my kids to a school with a thousand students (this one's kicking my ass).
I worry about next month, what I forgot to do yesterday, what might happen tomorrow.
If it can or cannot be named, I worry about it.

Yep, that's me. If I was guy. And the hose wasn't frozen. Because winter.

Oh yea, found another good shot of my life (why do the boys get all the good pictures?)

Ooh, shots...If I pretend that I didn't go to bed, is it still too early to start drinking? I mean, after all, it is dark...

  1. It's always going to be cocktail time somwhere in the world - so never too early, at least that's Ray's mantra.

It's easier said than done, but you will be exactly where you are meant to be, so it's up to you to fight it or accept it. The later will definitely be easier.

Why must you insist on making so much sense?
      Thank you.

  3. Not to ignore the other bits, but i agree with the others- its always happy hour somewhere in the world.

But also, i was watching Suits and Donna's advice to Rachel struck me- give it some time and things will turn out exactly as they were meant to be.

    Gd luck !

  4. The dog with the fish cracks me up.

Also, that song "It's five o clock somewhere" totally applies to five am. Because winter! Irish coffee...

Isn't it a priceless picture? One of our dogs looks at the cat like that when shes chasing him out of his food, lol.

  5. I should like to say to not worry so much, but as a fellow stress head i know that does not help lol

In respect of your children, that is a daunting prospect, however children are much more adaptable than us adults, and im sure will settle down fine whilst you will more than likely still be worrying

yeah, and its always time for a drink somewhere

    1. tori,
lol, well, in theory not stressing so much does sound great!

They are more adaptable, aren't they? Me? Adaptable is not a word used to describe. Come to think of it, I don't think anyone has ever used that word to describe me...

  8. Yep...I agree...kiddos are awfully adaptable and figure things out quite a bit quicker than we adults do. They handle change better than many of us do. Hang in there...keep looking at ridiculous photos of dogs and fish...and go ahead and have a nip (at 4 in the morning, no one will see you so no one will judge).
