Can we move straight on to Spring now?

This week, I have decided that life is the definition of insanity.

We spent Christmas at my moms, and the early afternoon was lovely. By late afternoon she was feeling quite ill, by evening she had proceeded into a minor breakdown and I ended up spending the night with her.
I'm worried about her health--both mental and physical.

Then after I got home, I got a call to work tomorrow, which I'm not complaining about because sadly, two days in one week is more than I have had all month. Though naturally, I seem to be getting sick for the first time in nearly a year...
And tomorrow morning, on the other side of the country, my niece has surgery to replace her pacemaker batteries and possibly one of the leads into her heart.

Did I mention that it's supposed to snow again tonight?

Isn't it Spring yet??

*Wanders off to drink copious amounts of medicine and possibly polish off a pie*

    1. sunnygirl,
Thank you! When lacking positive thoughts of my own, it's always nice to be able to borrow some from others.

  5. I vote yes, we can move straight to spring. Or, we could take a page from mother nature and hibernate until then. Nice fantasies, huh? Hang in there honey, things will get better :)

    1. faerie,
omg yes--I have wanted winter hibernation since the birth of my kids. I think it's a splendid idea!
      Thank you.

  6. No, we can't have spring until after I've gotten some of that snow!
You guys are hogging it ALL and we're just getting unending rain. ("Rain and rain! What is rain?!?")
(oh, wait, did I get that wrong?)
Shoo it our way, let me get at least ONE snow day this year, and then I'll agree to join you in the "Come Now, Spring" dance...
I WILL, however, start the "let the suckage stop now" dance, post-haste...

    1. Jz,
      Lol!
my client for today canceled...Apparently people aren't very keen on having the sick and contagious crawling all over their houses. Who knew?
But, that cancellation does explain why it didn't actually snow last night. Technically I shouldn't complain...We've only had about three storms this year so it's looking to be a horrific summer unless something changes.

Though, I have this theory that if I had more work, it would snow considerably more, in which case, I would be happy to share.

I'm all about the "stop the suckage now" dance! Does it involve pie?
