Life...

As you can see, I have even stolen enough time to change my background again. Apparently, not quite enough time to make the rounds though. Ahem. I'm hoping to have some time for blog browsing this evening--addictions to feed you know...

Fall is always a crazy season for us.
Soccer--this year requiring an average of 10 hours a week in the car,
school for both children--I am adapting. Possibly quite poorly, but still adapting lol,
gardening--looking forward to more lettuce and (hopefully) enough tomatoes to can,
Alpha's current projects wrapping up,
getting the house together...

Dunno, everything's just all kerfuffled.

My morning "me" time has ludicrously deteriorated from coffee, cigarettes, and blogging; to coffee and working out. It's just not right...

Basic obedience has, apparently, been a struggle for me lately. It is a struggle that Alpha finds neither amusing nor tolerable.
So yea, there's that...

I gotta go water the garden.

And just because it's funny...

  1. I thought you home schooled lil or am i mistaken? anyways yes i think labelling myself as mums taxi is often apt.

    1. tori,
I do homeschool. This is the first year of having both of them at once, and so far it's kicking my ass lol.

We have both venomous and non-venomous here, so it could go either way with any given spider. Most of them are fairly benign though...

I have begun thinking that there is not, and never will be, such a thing as enough morning me time.
That sounded exceptionally selfish, didn't it...

My sister in law home educates her 4 children, she says herself its challenging but she loves it....its something i admire her for, and yourself.....im really not sure i would have the patience for it.....i love working in a school, teaching kids...but my own...just seems so much more daunting lol

  2. I am not fond of spiders either. I just read somewhere you can sprinkle something around to keep them out but of course I can't remember what that is nor where I read that little tidbit. Sorry. If, by any chance, it passes through my brain again, I'll let you know.

After the relaxing days of summer, I imagine it is tough to get back to the hectic routine of fall. I know my grands are running hither and yon for soccer, football and track.

    1. sunnygirl,
the spiders have been very numerous here this year. It's not exactly thrilling lol.

Kids activities are a lot huh. These are the times that I wish it wasn't over an hour to get to town...

  3. My darn tomatoes won't turn red! Hopefully, they turn before it starts freezing at night.

I miss smoking, more so I miss smoke breaks.

    1. Misty,
we have found that row covers help with that a lot. Though, a couple of years ago, we had boxes and boxes and boxes (you get the picture) of tomatoes picked green and ripened in the box--you just close the box and keep an eye on them.

I'd be lying if I said that I didn't miss smoking...

  4. Hi Lil,

It's so hard to get back to routine after the summer break. Oh yes, must have morning "me" time. Cigarette and work out doesn't do it for me LoL

Love the pic. I HATE spiders!

    Hugs,
    Roz

    1. Hi Roz,
It is hard to get back into.
Lol, well I have dropped the cigarette portion of the routine, but I'm not giving up the coffee.

Anything venomous with that many legs, is bad news!

Me too. I think it has a nice fall feel without looking too much like eminent winter lol.

Just wanted to say hi Lil, and that your blog is helping me out while i cant be with my Dom. 1month down, 4 to go. Heres the thing, its really hard to follow orders that He gives when you know theres no way to be punished for disobeying. We are so far apart that He cant even do a surprise visit without spending thousands of dollars. Ive got to be really honest with myself and Him. So your pages have really helped me.Thanks for writting darling, I appreicate it.
