Answering a Question of Self Acceptance

Because I am afraid of who I will become if I accept what I am.

Simple right?

Ahhh, the irony for someone who has striven for ages to be nothing more or less than herself.

  1. You have a way of setting out the questions that swirl around in my head. Maybe if i could pin them down, i could work on finding the answers... This journey has uncovered a lot of realizations about myself. I am seeing glimpses and coming to terms, not at all at the point of seeing what i am in order to accept it though.

What you are and will become are unavoidable - not because you can't fight it or change it, but because he also wants you to be no more and no less than yourself.

  2. Lil, I think, like many of us, you are discovering more of yourself that you didn't know existed, much, I'm sure, to your absolute delight and horror! All of us, men and women alike, are afraid of the unknown. Continue to trust your gut, and your man. Sounds like he loves you exactly for who you are :-)

  4. greengirl,
Nice to know I'm not the only one who has these kinds of questions.

That is absolutely beautiful! Well said.

    Katherine,
Yes, a mixture of delight and horror describes it quite well lol. And yes, He does.
