I think it takes utter awesomness, (don't care if it's not a word) to get your wife one of these for her birthday:
Seriously, I have been asking for one of these since I was five!!! |
My dream shoes...Because some of us have poor balance |
How delicious is that... |
I did make one of the coconut cake recipes I was sent--with a lime curd filling and German chocolate cake icing. In all it has five stick of butter...But we won't tell grandma lest she have a heart attack as soon as she sets eyes on it.
I'll be sure to share how it turns out and post the link like I promised--haven't tried it yet, but anything with that much butter and coconut has to be good right?
Is today your birthday? It's my husbands too. Did I know you both shared this day? Maybe I did. In any case - many, many happy returns.
ReplyDeleteThe sword is beautiful, brave of you to have it in a house with two boys, but it is gorgeous. And the hook - well, I think you will love it in that oh so special way....
Peace and joy this year!
gg,
Deleteyes and yes. Happy birthday to Him! I hope you all had a lovely day.
And yes well, while the kids and I do have differing opinions about what constitutes acceptable items to play with, (they think it's unreasonable that I refuse to allow them to fight with ski poles) they, much like Alpha and myself, have spent their lives in proximity to enough dangerous objects that they well know what "thou shalt not EVER touch on pain of death". Plus, I'm thinking it will be placed nicely above the bed somewhere...
The hook...Okay, so I asked for it...But I must say, the one I asked for did Not have the ball on the end. It makes me a tad nervous...
Thank you! Failing peace, I'll hang onto the joy lol.
Happy Birthday lil. Love all the gifts but especially the last one. We were just looking at those on line last week, enjoy.
ReplyDeletedancingbarez,
Deletethank you!
Like I told gg, I'm a bit concerned about the ball on the end lol. But it is an object that feeds several of my fascinations at once...
Happy birthday, some great presents most especially the hook...enjoy lol

tor,
Deletethank you.
I'm thinking it might be one of those objects where, when I open the box, I'll have an immediate change of heart from "I want that" to "oh good god, I do Not want that!" lol.
Great presents and be sure to save me a piece of that cake. Sounds delish.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday - have a great day and a great year.
sunnygirl,
Deletewe only managed to consume about 1/4 of the cake. It's pretty intense lol, so there's plenty to go around.
Thank you.
Happy birthday! I love the sword!
ReplyDeleteksst,
Deletethank you!
I love the sword too. It also came with a complimentary side of my mom deciding that he's crazy lol.
Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteMrs. D,
Deletethank you!
Happiest of days to you, and I want some of that cake!
ReplyDeleteJz,

Like I said to sunnygirl, there's plenty left! And for once, I'm pretty well sated lol--didn't even have it for breakfast.
Happy Birthday lil :)

Thank you Dee.
DeleteOh my goodness! Please save me a piece of cake! Do you think you could email it to me? Or perhaps ftp...
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your birthday, lil!
Jake,
Deletethat's it! You invent the ability to send cake over the internet, and I will make my fortune on it!
Thank you, I did enjoy it very much.
I tried to comment yesterday and my dang computer at work wouldn't let me.I have always wanted a Kitana, you are a lucky girl.(When I asked W why he never got me one, he put his hand to his stomach and just stared at me, hmph) Happy Birthday lil!
ReplyDelete(belatedly)
Sooo, how was the cake?
lm,
DeleteYou should have seen the look on my mom's face when I told her Alpha got me a sword--it has deeply shaken her faith in his judgement lol.
Thank you for the belated happy birthday, (always nice to make the fun days last).
The cake was good, though I think that perhaps I should have adjusted it a bit for the altitude...
