The Various Glories of Motherhood

Story of my life lately.

But wait, it gets better! This is my eldest child's current attitude:

And by "current" I mean every day for the last 3 weeks.

So things around my house look a bit like this:

Remind me again why we don't eat our young?

No matter how I approach my day, the truth is...

Oh so true.

  1. ahh the joys of parenthood....there are joys i swear lol

Reading the half full/empty quote reminded me of something a friend posted on facebook a while back...

Pesimists see the cup as half empty
Optimists see the cup as half full
Opportunists drink the cup whilst they are bickering
The sadist sits and laughs as the cup contained poison.

It just struck my sense of humour!

    1. tori,
LOL, I think I like that one more than the one I have here!

There are joys...Though, when they are on rampage, it can be difficult to remember what exactly those joys are lol.

  4. I have a cup theory. Regardless if it's half full or half empty, at least it has 'something' in it :) ha!
As for parenthood. I empathise completely. My 9yr old middle daughter has been pushing my buttons for the last couple of days! She's really really good at it!

    1. Dee,
      Lol, good theory!

Yea, our eldest is ten...I'm sure hoping for a miraculously wonderful teenager, because he's sure getting out his share of angst now!
Our kids are remarkably good at finding and pushing our buttons aren't they?

  7. Very funny graphics. Life sure has a way of pissing us off and then turning around and handing us roses. Just depends on the day. Hope your is better tomorrow.

I was gonna diss on the roses...But Alpha took the wicked one to work. So today it's just me, the little guy, some hot oil treatment, cucumber slices, and coffee. Could do far worse!

    1. Wednesday's child,
There are some weeks where home-schooling does seem terribly overrated, and I would like nothing more than to plop them on a bus five days a week!
