Formspring # 4

"How did you get so good at writing this blog? And how long did it take you to get so many followers?"

Ooh, flattery with a price lol. Alright, I'll bite.
They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so I guess a good read is all in the mind of the person doing the reading lol. I just write about shit that matters to me. Amazingly enough, there are apparently people out there in the world who find it worth reading.
About the followers, as of today, I have been writing this blog for one year (happy blogaversarry to me. Maybe I'll actually come up with something decent to say lol). If you do some looking around, you will see that, in the grand scheme of things, I don't actually have that many followers. It's a pretty modest number as far as blogs go. I guess they just enjoy my drivel?

On a side note about Formspring, I really don't like how it never shows names (regardless of whether someone asks anonymously or not). So unless you actually care about being anonymous, I would appreciate questioners signing their questions.

  1. Good to know :) About the box lol

    Happy blogaversarry to you!

I see a lot of different blogs and I suppose under a hundred is a lot smaller than the thousands that follow "a blog dedicated to dolls" but I see a lot of comments from several different people on yours. I feel like you have a lot of followers because of the quality of their comments and loyalty to your blog I suppose. You know, they aren't just clicking a button once and never coming back.
They all seem like very nice people and really interested in what you have to say.

I am interested in what you say because I can relate and because I am new to everything so I'm curious as to what to expect as time goes by.

Thanks for answering my question :D

  2. You have lots of interesting things to say! That's why I keep coming back. My eyes definitely see beauty in your posts...and humor, truth, pathos, myself even.

    Happy Blogoversary! Go Lil!

  3. Naida,
I do like those people who leave regular comments--it's kind of nice. Maybe it has something to do with kind of following someone's story, especially if you can relate to it. And I tend to comment on their blogs too. It's only really been over the last few months that I have gotten "regulars" who comment and I think that's mostly because I finally stopped being shy and started making comments myself.
I also never leave a comment unless it's genuine even if I'm not a regular reader of any given blog and it's just a "hope you feel better" note (I'm not a fan of the fly by, didn't even read the post, kind of comments lol), so I think it kind of comes comes full circle in a way.

littlemonkey, interesting?! And here I thought it was all about the bat radar lol.
